Privacy policy

Last updated September 2026. This notice explains what personal data Big Little Content collects, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

Big Little Content is the trading name of Content Kweens Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions, requests and complaints go to Ben Lifton at benlifton1@gmail.com.

What we collect

Contact details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, the brand or salon you work for and anything you write in a brief, an email, a direct message or a booking.

Project information: briefs, feedback, approvals, invoices and payment records needed to deliver and account for the work.

Course and training information: who attended, what was booked and any feedback given, so we can run the session and issue certificates or follow up material where offered.

Technical data: how you use this website, including pages visited, device and browser type and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technology described in our cookies policy.

Images and footage: where you appear in content we produce, we handle that content under the agreement for the project and any release you have signed.

How we collect it

Directly from you when you send a brief through this site, email us, message us on social media, book a course or session, sign up to hear from us, or work with us on a project. Automatically through cookies and analytics when you browse this site. From the brand or employer that books us on your behalf, for example a list of delegates for a training day.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

To reply to enquiries and quote for work: legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before a contract. To deliver projects, courses and sessions and to invoice for them: performance of a contract. To keep accounting and tax records: legal obligation. To send occasional news about our work, courses and dates: consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the link in any email or by writing to us. To understand how the website is used and to measure advertising: consent for non essential cookies, and legitimate interests in running a secure and useful site.

Who we share it with

Service providers who process data on our behalf under contract: Squarespace, which hosts this website and its forms; Google, which provides our email and file storage; Thinkific, which hosts our online courses; Dropbox and Google Drive, used to deliver files; Canva, used to prepare documents; our accountants; and payment providers. Advertising and analytics partners, including TikTok and Meta, where you have accepted marketing cookies. Creators, crew and contractors working on your project, who are bound by our confidentiality terms. Authorities or regulators where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

International transfers

Some providers store data outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, or an adequacy decision, so that your data has equivalent protection.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become a project: up to twelve months. Client and project records: six years after the project ends, in line with tax and limitation rules. Course and delegate records: three years after the course. Marketing consent: until you withdraw it. Website analytics: as set out in our cookies policy.

Security

Data is held on password protected, two factor secured accounts with reputable providers and is only accessible to the people who need it for the work. No online system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us over the internet.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to benlifton1@gmail.com and we respond within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Complaints

We would rather fix a problem than have you go elsewhere, so please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, by telephone on 0303 123 1113, or by post to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Third party links

This site links to other websites and platforms, including booking pages run by our partners and our social channels. Their privacy notices apply to anything you do there.

Changes

We update this notice when our practices change. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
